Current program position
Speaker #2 is going to Freedom Centre.
Freedom Centre in Leederville has formally accepted the second official WAssup kit. It provides a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ young people.
The JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus and its two EasySing microphones were purchased on 9 September for $422.02 including GST, with no freight charge. The kit can support social activities, creative programs, karaoke and events. Handover is still to come.
Speaker #1 remains delivered to Mulan Aboriginal Community.
Total program income has reached $1,016.39, including $0.07 bank interest. After $878.04 was applied to two kits and $0.80 paid in bank fees, $137.55 remains available for Speaker #3.

Mulan Aboriginal Community is the first official recipient in the 108 Speakers Program.
$456.02 was applied to the JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus kit and two EasySing microphones, including $34 delivery. The kit has been delivered, taking the official delivery tally to 1 of 108.
Mulan Aboriginal Corporation is the local custodian, holding the speaker and microphones as a shared community asset for activities, gatherings and events.

Speaker #3 funding update
Speaker #3 reaches $137.55.
A Containers for Change return of 1,108 eligible containers raised $110.80 on 13 September, followed by a $25 donation on 15 September. Total program income is now $1,016.39, with $137.55 available for Speaker #3 after two kit purchases and the $0.80 bank fee.
Speaker #2 has been purchased — two bought, 106 to go.
A second JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus with two EasySing microphones was purchased for $422.02 including GST, with no freight charge. The recipient was not yet public at the time of purchase; Freedom Centre in Leederville formally accepted the kit and was announced on 10 September. Total program income now stands at $880.59, with $1.75 available for Speaker #3 after both purchases and the $0.80 bank fee.
Speaker #2 reaches $326.10 as Kununurra and Toodyay join.
A further $20 community donation on 3 September lifts cumulative fundraising to $782.92. After the $0.80 bank fee, $326.10 is available for Speaker #2. Kununurra Waringarri Aboriginal Corporation and Toodyay Community Resource Centre bring the confirmed register to 46 WA locations, leaving 62 still to confirm.
Mulan receives Speaker #1 as Speaker #2 reaches $248.30.
The first official WAssup kit has been delivered to Mulan, taking the official delivery tally to 1 of 108 — one delivered, 107 to go. A $25 community donation and two Containers for Change returns totalling $23.30 lift cumulative fundraising to $704.32 and leave $248.30 for Speaker #2.
Speaker #2 reaches $200 and Jigalong joins the program.
Recent Containers for Change proceeds, a community donation and a personal donation bring cumulative program fundraising to $656.02. After $456.02 was applied to Speaker #1, $200 remains for Speaker #2. Jigalong Youth and Cultural Centre brings the confirmed register to 44 WA locations.
A $2.95 personal contribution and a $35 donation from profit on a neon sign lift the cumulative amount raised to $572.47. A further $305.57 is needed to reach the current $422.02 base speaker price, excluding delivery.
Merredin — Avon Community Services, Wagin — Wagin Youth Centre Inc., and Ellenbrook — Ellenbrook Youth Centre / City of Swan bring the confirmed total to 43, leaving 65 locations still to confirm.
Mulan Aboriginal Community is the first official recipient, with Mulan Aboriginal Corporation as the local custodian. $456.02 was applied to the kit, leaving $78.50 towards the next speaker at that date.
Wyndham Youth Aboriginal Corporation, Dowerin Community Resource Centre and Waroona CRC / Waroona Youth Centre bring the confirmed WA location total to 40.
A $30 Containers for Change contribution from Northam and a further $25 community donation brought the current program account balance to $78.50 after the first-kit allocation.
Pemberton Youth Zone confirmed it can put a portable speaker to good use. The kit
will be stored in the PYZ room at the Pemberton Community Sports Club and available
to support local youth activities.
Bundiyarra Aboriginal Community in Geraldton and Avon Community Services’
6510Youth service in Moora both confirmed they would welcome a kit. The equipment
can support existing youth, family and community activities in both locations.
Cue Youth Centre confirmed a JBL speaker was already on its wish list. Hope Community
Services in Coolgardie plans to use its kit during workshops with young people out on
Country, where portable sound and microphones can go wherever the activities happen.
The original JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 has been discontinued. New program materials
now refer to the JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus, which includes two wireless
microphones. WAssup will continue seeking the best available commercial price before
each purchase.
Before the 108 Speakers Program began, three speaker-and-microphone kits were delivered
to community organisations. Those experiences showed the equipment was wanted, useful
and capable of supporting very different communities.

The Denmark delivery showed how a trusted local organisation can hold and use the
equipment for community activities.

Avon Community Services received a JBL PartyBox On-The-Go with two microphones,
completing the third proof-of-concept delivery.
Why are these not counted in the 108? They were provided before the
official program began. Keeping them separate protects the promise of 108 new WA
placements and makes the public tally clear.
