What sits behind those figures
- Total income includes $0.07 bank interest.
- Speaker #1: $456.02, including $34 delivery.
- Speaker #2: $422.02, with no freight charge.
- A further $284.47 is needed to reach the current $422.02 base purchase price for Speaker #3, excluding delivery.
How to read the figures
Confirmed locations, kits purchased and completed deliveries are separate measures. A location saying yes does not mean its kit has already been purchased or delivered.
Personally funded WAssup operating expenses are kept separate from money raised for speaker placements.
Recipient responsibility
Who owns, maintains and manages the kit?
Ownership transfers to the recipient organisation at handover. The kit becomes an organisational/community asset for community use. It is not a personal gift and it is not a time-limited loan from WAssup.
The recipient organisation is responsible for secure storage, charging, ordinary care and maintenance after handover. Warranty issues can be handled through the normal supplier or manufacturer process, with WAssup able to provide purchase information where available. Accidental damage does not create an automatic WAssup replacement entitlement.
Insurance is not mandatory. Recipients should check whether the equipment is already covered by their existing asset or contents insurance and manage it under their own governance requirements.
Local access is decided locally. Each recipient organisation determines day-to-day access under its own facilities, supervision, safeguarding and operating arrangements. WAssup does not centrally promise private or unsupervised access to individual community members.
Freight and delivery
WAssup pays the freight.
WAssup pays freight and delivery from WAssup funds. Recipient organisations are not expected to pay freight. Where practical, WAssup will first seek safe free community transport before paying commercial freight.
Mistaken payments
If money was sent by mistake.
Contact WAssup promptly at wassup@wassup.au. WAssup will review the request case by case and may ask for enough information to verify the original payment. Where a refund is approved, it should ordinarily be returned to the original source where practicable. WAssup does not promise an automatic or instant refund.
Privacy before publicity
People come before content.
Receiving a kit does not create an obligation to provide photographs, videos or identifying information about young people. Privacy, consent, child safety and cultural protocols come before publicity.
