What sits behind those figures
- Total income includes $0.07 bank interest. Scott’s 27 October donation is counted once across both funds. The $15 transfer into the Bhutan account is neither new income nor speaker expenditure.
- Speaker #1: $456.02, including $34 delivery.
- Speaker #2: $422.02, with no freight charge.
- Speaker #3, purchased 19 October: $422.02 for the kit and $36 direct delivery to Broome — $458.02 total.
Fundraising for Speaker #4
The WA fund held $71.66 after the two contributions on 23 October. Scott’s new $30 personal donation on 27 October adds $15 to WA and $15 to Druk Bars, bringing the WA balance to $86.66.
Another $335.36 is needed to reach the recorded $422.02 base price. Any delivery cost is additional and will be confirmed for the selected location.
The next recipient has not yet been selected. Personally funded WAssup operating expenses are kept separate from speaker-placement funds.

The Speaker #3 purchase is recorded once at $458.02, including delivery. Its earlier pending-payment entry has been replaced, rather than added as another expense. The 17 August opening line carries the program balance into this compact ledger. Donor names remain private unless publication is explicitly approved. This is a program accountability record, not audited financial statements. Personally funded operating expenses remain separate.

Druk Bars — Bhutan fund.
As at 27 October 2026, $15.00 is held for the hoped-for Tangmachu Central School speaker-and-microphone kit in Lhuentse. No Bhutan kit has been purchased and no delivery has been promised.

Donations identified for the Bhutanese-community appeal are allocated 50/50 between the general WA speakers fund and Druk Bars. Each external donation is recorded once; the transfer between accounts does not increase total income. The $15 dedicated balance is not available for WA Speaker #4.

Recipient responsibility
Who owns, maintains and manages the kit?
Ownership transfers to the recipient organisation at handover. The kit becomes an organisational/community asset for community use. It is not a personal gift and it is not a time-limited loan from WAssup.
The recipient organisation is responsible for secure storage, charging, ordinary care and maintenance after handover. Warranty issues can be handled through the normal supplier or manufacturer process, with WAssup able to provide purchase information where available. Accidental damage does not create an automatic WAssup replacement entitlement.
Insurance is not mandatory. Recipients should check whether the equipment is already covered by their existing asset or contents insurance and manage it under their own governance requirements.
Local access is decided locally. Each recipient organisation determines day-to-day access under its own facilities, supervision, safeguarding and operating arrangements. WAssup does not centrally promise private or unsupervised access to individual community members.
Freight and delivery
WAssup pays the freight.
WAssup pays freight and delivery from WAssup funds. Recipient organisations are not expected to pay freight. Where practical, WAssup will first seek safe free community transport before paying commercial freight.
Mistaken payments
If money was sent by mistake.
Contact WAssup promptly at wassup@wassup.au. WAssup will review the request case by case and may ask for enough information to verify the original payment. Where a refund is approved, it should ordinarily be returned to the original source where practicable. WAssup does not promise an automatic or instant refund.
Privacy before publicity
People come before content.
Receiving a kit does not create an obligation to provide photographs, videos or identifying information about young people. Privacy, consent, child safety and cultural protocols come before publicity.
