Wickepin Community Resource Centre
Local learning, practical services and community connection.
Wickepin Community Resource Centre supports residents, community groups and visitors with technology, training, library services and local activities. Based on Wogolin Road, it also provides resources for volunteers and the organisations they support.
Programs and activities
Children’s activities
The CRC’s recent school-holiday activities include Junior LEGO Masters workshops, supported by a local volunteer who supplied the collection and helped children develop their creations.
The October 2026 update celebrated two sessions of imaginative building, with selected creations displayed in the CRC window. Contact the centre for upcoming activities, bookings and age groups.
Community events and road safety
The CRC brings people together through markets and community events.
Its Drive Safe Wickepin Markets received Road Safety Commission funding to combine a main-street gathering with messages about safer speeds, driver attention and pedestrian safety. The September 2026 event included local stalls, mini golf and balloon activities for families.
Caring for wildlife and the environment
Wise Up for Wildlife: Wickepin Against Litter received a $3,300 Community Litter Grant for 2025–26.
The project connects litter prevention with protecting local wildlife. Its activities were designed around wildlife education, children’s research and poster-making, and sharing information through the Wickepin Festival and community channels.
Library and reading
Wickepin Public Library operates from the CRC, with books and other resources for adults, teenagers and children. Staff can help request material from other libraries and provide information about children’s reading activities.
The CRC also operates a Street Library at 24 Wogolin Road, giving residents and travellers access to books outside normal opening hours. Readers can borrow or contribute books through this shared collection.
