Programs and community support
Tom Price Youth Drop-In Centre
The Youth Drop-In Centre provides a welcoming place for young people to socialise, take part in activities and connect with supportive staff.
Alongside recreation, the centre offers life-skills activities, cultural programs, information and help with everyday challenges. Young people can also access support and referrals through the broader Garduwarra Mia team.
Creative activities and school-holiday programs
Garduwarra Mia develops activities with local partners that give young people opportunities to participate, create and build connections.
Published examples include:
- Girls in Charge, March 2026: a practical group program supporting young women through shared experiences and learning.
- Youth-Chella, May 2026: an evening with a silent disco, graffiti wall, crafts and music, delivered with the Shire of Ashburton.
- Songwriting and recording: a 2025 workshop with Razzy Mak, taking participants through developing a song from an initial idea to recording.
- Pride celebrations: creative activities, social events and karaoke.
- School-holiday activities: programs delivered with community partners, including activities during the September–October 2026 holidays.
