Programs and opportunities
After-school activities
Morawa Youth Centre provides a space for young people aged 10–18 to spend time together and join activities. JK Foundation runs the after-school program on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during school terms. Contact the local team for current session times.
School-holiday programs
The published September–October 2026 program included team games, cooking challenges, art, movies, cultural storytelling, skate activities and cricket.
Activities combined recreation with opportunities to practise teamwork, communication, creativity and leadership, using the youth centre and other community venues.
School engagement and mentoring
JK Foundation’s Morawa school engagement work supports male students through connections between school, family and community. Its local youth workers provide mentoring and activities intended to strengthen participation, wellbeing and relationships.
Telethon’s support in 2026 helps fund the foundation’s school and community engagement work in Morawa and Mullewa.
Sporting opportunities
The foundation’s wider Sports Assistance Program helps regional young people overcome barriers to participating in sport. Assistance can include travel costs, coaching, mentoring and support with other financial obstacles. Contact JK Foundation about eligibility and available support.
