Katanning Hub Community Resource Centre is an independent, not-for-profit association supporting residents, businesses and community groups across Katanning and surrounding communities.

The CRC provides practical assistance, technology access, training and local information, helping people connect with services and participate in community life.

Programs and services

Digital access and everyday assistance

The CRC offers computer access, technology support, printing, design and administrative services. Residents can also access government websites and information through its Government Access Point.

Business advice and workshops

The CRC hosts free business consultations with Albany Business Centre’s Mark Shenton, supporting people considering a business idea and those already operating a small business.

Consultations can cover business planning, marketing, financial management, licences and permits. Visits are advertised for the last Thursday of each month, with appointments requiring booking. Contact the CRC about upcoming availability.

Training opportunities also include business growth workshops covering leadership, team development, communication, customer service and planning. These provide practical learning alongside opportunities to meet other local business owners.

Community activities and information

The CRC works with community groups, businesses and service providers on local initiatives, including youth engagement, information sessions for older residents and small business support.

It also assists with grant applications, business networking and promotion through the Katanning Business & Community Directory. Ask the team about current activities and opportunities to get involved.

Information for older residents

The CRC makes a Seniors Information Booklet available and shares information about services and support for older people.

Volunteering and community connections

Through its partnership with Albany & Regional Volunteer Service, the Hub helps residents explore volunteering opportunities and community organisations connect with suitable volunteers.

Visitor information and travel

Visitors can obtain local information, maps and suggestions about places to explore through the visitor information service at the CRC.

The centre also provides TransWA ticketing assistance and stocks a selection of local souvenirs.

Katanning Hub Community Resource Centre is confirmed for a future WAssup speaker and microphone kit. The equipment is intended for shared community use, including youth activities, cultural programs and local events, with storage and suitable access arrangements managed locally through the CRC.
