Ellenbrook Youth Centre — City of Swan
Ellenbrook Youth Centre is a City of Swan service for young people aged 12–25, providing places to socialise, develop skills and connect with support.
Opened in May 2023, the purpose-built centre brings youth activities, learning opportunities and support services together in Ellenbrook. Young people contributed to its planning and design.
Programs and activities
Drop-in, games and recreation
The centre offers opportunities to meet friends, join activities and speak with qualified youth workers.
Facilities include gaming consoles, pool and table tennis, a basketball half-court, computers, free Wi-Fi and materials for creative activities.
Separate sessions cater for high-school-aged young people and young adults. Contact staff for the current timetable and the session suited to your age group.
Music, recording and creative expression
A creative studio provides space for sound and film recording. Young people interested in music, recording or other creative projects can speak with staff about using the space.
The centre also has a sensory room and art supplies. Term programs have included dance, catering, leadership, homeschool activities and dedicated boys’ and girls’ groups.
Youth leadership and community events
The City’s Youth Development team helps young people contribute ideas, develop leadership skills and participate in local projects and events.
Young people and community organisations can contact the local Youth Development Officer about partnerships, improving youth services, developing activities and finding support for projects.
The centre’s 2026 Youth Week celebration, developed with the Ellenbrook Youth Committee, included opportunities for young performers, artists and stallholders, alongside competitions, food, art and a clothes swap.
Art and wellbeing partnerships
The centre has supported My Story My World with Ellenbrook Arts, helping young people explore creativity, identity and belonging.
The 2026 program brought together different art forms and opportunities to share young people’s perspectives through a youth exhibition. The work forms part of a Healthway-funded creativity and wellbeing partnership.
Education and pathways
North Metropolitan TAFE has delivered courses at the centre, including Certificate I in Gaining Access to Training and Employment — GATE, and Certificate II in General Education.
These provide pathways for eligible young people to develop skills and reconnect with learning. Contact the centre about future intakes, eligibility and available support.
Support and practical assistance
Youth workers provide information and referrals to specialist services. Shower and laundry facilities are also available for young people in need.
Contact staff to discuss access and the support available for your circumstances.
Support local youth activities
To discuss a donation, equipment, sponsorship or help delivering an activity, contact Ellenbrook Youth Centre directly.
Explain what you would like to contribute and ask about current priorities and the City’s arrangements for accepting support. Businesses, community groups and people with practical or creative skills can also discuss workshop and project partnerships.
